Am 14. M\u00e4rz 2023 besuchte ich w\u00e4hrend einer Reise nach Madrid das Thyssen-Museum, um die Ausstellung Lucian Freud zu sehen.<\/p>\n

Zun\u00e4chst einmal muss ich sagen, dass ich mit der Absicht in die Ausstellung gegangen bin, sie zu dokumentieren, d.h. viele Fotos zu machen, etwas, was ich nicht gerne tue oder f\u00fcr andere erleide, wenn ich in Ausstellungen gehe. Es gibt nichts Schlimmeres als Leute, die Ausstellungen besuchen und Fotos machen, ohne sich die Werke anzusehen. Allerdings muss ich gestehen, dass ich dieses Mal ein wenig zum Spielverderber wurde.<\/p>\n

Diese Freud-Ausstellung in Madrid ist der zweite Ausstellungsort, denn zuvor war die National Gallery in London Gastgeberin der Ausstellung, die im Wesentlichen die gleichen Best\u00e4nde umfasst, mit einigen Ausnahmen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Die Ausstellung ist in sechs Abschnitte unterteilt, die mehr oder weniger chronologisch die Entwicklung und die Themen des Malers darstellen: <\/em><\/p>\n

Freud werden<\/h2>\n

Seinem Fr\u00fchwerk gewidmet. Freud stellte sich auf die Seite der figurativen Kunst und bezog eine Position des Widerstands inmitten der vorherrschenden abstrakten Str\u00f6mungen. Seine Technik ist akribisch und leicht, mit einem langsamen Prozess und d\u00fcnnen Schichten.<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

Erste Portr\u00e4ts<\/h2>\n

Darin zeigt sich bereits sein Wunsch, das Wesen seiner Modelle einzufangen. Die Portr\u00e4ts seiner zweiten Frau, Girl in Bed<\/em> (1953), Girl in a Green Dress (<\/em> 1954) und Hotel Room ( <\/em>1954), markieren einen Wendepunkt in Form und Inhalt seiner Ann\u00e4herung an seine Modelle. Er verwendet Borstenpinsel und seine Pinselstriche sind lockerer und pastoser, obwohl seine Arbeitsweise pr\u00e4zise und gem\u00e4chlich bleibt.<\/p>\n

Einige bewusst unvollendete Portr\u00e4ts geben uns einen Einblick in seine Arbeitsweise, die vom Zentrum des Motivs ausgeht.<\/p>\n

Datenschutz<\/h2>\n

Freud malte immer nach dem Leben und zog es vor, seine unmittelbare Umgebung, Geliebte, Freunde und Familie, zu portr\u00e4tieren, um mit gr\u00f6\u00dferer Freiheit agieren zu k\u00f6nnen. Diese Intimit\u00e4t spiegelt sich vor allem in seinen Doppelportr\u00e4ts wider.<\/p>\n

Strom<\/h2>\n

Mit zunehmendem Ruhm erhielt er immer h\u00e4ufiger Portr\u00e4tauftr\u00e4ge, die er jedoch nur unter der Bedingung annahm, dass die Portr\u00e4tierten seine Bedingungen akzeptierten, d. h. in seinem Atelier zu posieren und die Dauer der Sitzungen zu bestimmen. Bei anderen Gelegenheiten portr\u00e4tierte er Menschen, um Schulden zu begleichen, wie auf dem Gem\u00e4lde „Zwei Iren in W11“.<\/p>\n

Die Studie<\/h2>\n

Sein Arbeitsraum wird zum Protagonisten seiner Arbeit, zu seiner B\u00fchne.<\/p>\n

Ab den 1980er Jahren wurde sein Atelier zu einem bedeutenden thematischen Teil: M\u00f6bel, aufget\u00fcrmte T\u00fccher und Stoffe, W\u00e4nde mit Farbspuren oder Holzb\u00f6den sind erkennbare Elemente dieser Zeit.<\/p>\n

Fleisch<\/h2>\n

Aktportr\u00e4ts, die eine tiefgr\u00fcndige Beobachtung des menschlichen K\u00f6rpers und der Sterblichkeit des Fleisches offenbaren.<\/p>\n

„Ich m\u00f6chte, dass die Farbe wie Fleisch wirkt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Diesen Satz hat der K\u00fcnstler 1982 ge\u00e4u\u00dfert, ein Motto, das der materiellen Fleischlichkeit seiner Gesichter und K\u00f6rper und seiner F\u00e4higkeit, die Textur des Fleisches zu malen, entspricht.<\/p>\n

Vor allem in diesen sp\u00e4teren Perioden verwendete er dicke pastose Farben, wobei Cremnitz-Wei\u00df<\/a> die Hauptrolle auf seiner Palette spielte.<\/p>\n
